A passenger on a high-speed French train had to be rescued by fireman after getting his arm sucked down the toilet.

The man was trapped after trying to retrieve his mobile phone which he dropped into the toilet bowl.

It took two hours for firemen to cut the pipework and then the man was stretchered off the train - with his arm still stuck in the toilet.

The TGV train had been travelling from Ra Rochelle to Bordeaux.
