MICHAEL Donovan revealed the name of the prisoner he said beat him up and fractured his jaw.
Donovan told the Leeds Crown Court jury a prisoner called 'Scully' attacked him.

Donovan's defence counsel Alan Conrad QC asked him: "Do you know any reason why he (Scully) would do that?"

Donovan replied: "No."

Donovan was too ill to attend court on Monday after having surgery on his jaw, which was fractured in the alleged attack at Armley Jail, pictured, on November 13.

Mr Conrad said Donovan's jaw is now being held together with metal plates.

Donovan said his identity card had been stolen while he has been on remand in prison.
