A man suffered burns to his arms after a fire at a firm in Dewsbury.

Fire crews were called to Harris Autos on Lock Street, Dewsbury, just before 7am today.

When they arrived they found the owner had been sleeping inside a caravan at the site and had woken to discover a fire outside the entrance to it.

He had put the fire out himself using two fire extinguishers, a firefighter told the YEP today but he suffered some burns to his arms.

A fire investigation officer also attended and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
