THE Great Lorenzo, Cyril the Squirrel and Peter Rabbit were just a few of the whacky characters warming up for tomorrow's visit from The Queen.
Sound surreal? Welcome to the Great Yorkshire Show where there's a little something for everyone.
But they weren't the only ones preparing for the Royal visit as there was a huge police presence at the ground today with officers inspecting drains and sniffer dogs out if force.
The Lorenzo International Horse Show wowed crowds in the Main Ring where the daredevil took to the back of saddle-free horses.
Some said he was crazy, some stood awestruck, as the "Flying Frenchman" held the reins of up to 12 horses in one go.
The pack all tore around the main ring while the great man himself stood on the backs of two at once, bouncing over fences.
This internationally-renowned display, showing each day at 3pm, was a first for the show and it was one which really did go down a storm.
Beatrix Potter's Peter Rabbit also made his first appearance.
Steve Garffit, a garden designer from Rothwell, Leeds, came runner up with his showpiece which was a garden centred around the children's character.
His display was one of five in the event's first ever Small Garden Competition which saw competitors design stunning 12ft by 6ft gardens.
Steve told the YEP: "I had to ask the publishers for permission to reproduce the pages of the book to make parts of the garden. It's also about encouraging kids to grow organic veg in part of it which is a play garden."
From prize winning gardens to fantastic family fudge firms the Flower and Food Halls were rammed to the rafters.
Tony Johnson from Johnsons Toffees and Fudge in Castleford comes to the show every year.
"We have been going since the 1920s as a family firm and my grandfather started it. We do well here at the show and most people seems to go for our Bailey's Fudge or Vanilla which are our bestsellers."
Meanwhile Cyril the Squirrel was putting in his daily performance. The replica squirrel flies up and down a track while being chased by Jack Russell terriers who then jumping through a "ring of fire".
The display is hilarious to watch - particularly when the dogs tear out with toy jockies on their backs.
Day Two of the show was also a joy for visitors as the sun shone and the traffic was once again free flowing.
A North Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said the increased police presence was for the Royal Visit today.
