Yarnbury RFC tour to Bath

Yarnbury RFC travelled to Somerset and Gloucester for their annual tour taking 42 players and officials to the West Country.

On the Saturday the Horsforth side were entertained by Somerset Premier Division side Wells and went down 29-17.

Tries for Yarnbury were by Simon Tabb,Andy Hudson and Mark Fielding with the Somerset side scoring in the last minute to pull clear.

On the Sunday Yarnbury visited Tewksbury who are at the top of Gloucestershire Premier League and got a remarkable draw 27-27 with tries from Andy Hudson (2), veteran Richard Sharpe shining one last time on tour and Ian Burrows crawling over from the second row.

Simon Tabb adding the extras and the final try for Yarnbury coming in the last minute to square the points.

A good time was had by all and the Horsforth name has been spread with commendable effort again to the West Country.
