Wortley FC support school project
Wortley FC coaches Jamie Grand and Nicola Robinson recently started work on a Year 6 transition project with girls from Whingate Primary and Five Lanes End Primary Schools.
The project runs every Wednesday and includes a one hour coaching session female pupils from the two nominated Primary Schools.

The first session was well attended with over 19 pupils in attendance and the sessions will finish with an inter school football challenge.
It is hoped that many of the participants will go on to become part of the club. This is a trial project and if successful will be extended to
include other primary schools within the area.

The club has received funding to set up new teams for the 2009/2010 and our involvement in this project will hopefully lead to the club developing the girls section even further.
