The first team became double runners up on the same night when competing for double honours in the league and cup.

In the Terry Marflitt Final, they lost 1-0 after extra time, to Gildersome Spurs OB in a close and tense final at Ealandians FC.

Following the final, news had also filtered through that Leeds Medics had won their game in hand over Wortley leaving them five points clear in the Yorkshire Old Boys League Senior Division A with one match remaining.

The club's two other open age teams, who also compete in the Yorkshire Old Boys League, have had very good seasons and are both on course for a top five finish in their respective divisions.

Congratulations to team managers Roy Naylor, Barry Hey, Ian Thackray, coaches Tony Carney, Paul Heaton, Paul Hatfield and the open age squad of players for a successful season in the open age section.
