We'll be ready for Wembley, says boss
GARY McALLISTER has promised a programme of "world-class preparation" as Leeds United gear up for the League One play-off final.
The club took the penultimate step towards the Championship with a superb semi-final victory over Carlisle United and McAllister will insist on meticulous preparation for their all-or-nothing clash with Doncaster at Wembley next Sunday.
Rovers joined Leeds in the final by thrashing Southend 5-1 at the Keepmoat Stadium and the success of United's season now hinges on 90 minutes of drama at England's national stadium.
McAllister has routinely praised the quality of Leeds' training complex at Thorp Arch since returning to Elland Road and intends to make full use of the facilities as United prepare for their most important fixture since the 2006 Championship play-off final in Cardiff.
The Leeds boss said: "We might not have world-class players, or players with wonderful technique and touch, but there's no reason why our preparation can't be world class.
"We'll try to prepare as best we can. This is why you get involved in professional sport and why you want to be at clubs who are competitive and have a chance of achieving something.
"That's the case here."
