Temple AFC U-12s look forward to testing challenges ahead

Temple U-12s missed a great opportunity to consolidate their mid-table position at the weekend. Read match report here.

Temple AFC U-12s 0

Date: Sunday, October 21

Competition: Garforth Junior Football League U-12, Division 4

Temple U-12s missed a great opportunity to consolidate their mid-table position by going absent when it really mattered.

A good support expected more from a side that had battled hard in their last three games but were disappointed with a display that was only a shadow of previous efforts.

A lack-lustre, tired performance saw the first half end at 3 - 0, keeper Nathan Simm having received scant cover from his defenders.

The trend looked set to continue in the second half as a not impressive Rothwell extended their lead with another two simple goals and only then did Temple appear to wake-up and start playing in the manner we now expect. Declan Isaac began to influence midfield.

Tom Gordon and Matty Hayward linked well late on for some good passing moves. Too little too late. The game finished 5-0.

Now Temple face the divisions top two teams in what could be a difficult fortnight
