Scarcroft v Crossgates

Crossgates won the toss against Scarcroft who have already won promotion to Division 1, and elected to bat.

Openers Adam Tall and Steve Tung put 55 on for the first wicket, then Alex Smickersgill (40) came in to partner Tung and together put on 103, Aussie Tung fell 5 short of his Century as Crossgates posted 215 all out. Scarcrofts Steve Pickersgill 3-44 was the best of the bowlers.

Scarcroft came out to bat and lost a wicket with only 2 on the board after a bit of a revival with Damien Aston (28) & Pete Phelan (36) the wickets began to fall quickly and were all out for 134.

Glen Moran finished with outstanding figures of 7-59. Crossgates beat the team in 2nd place and now look forward to the last match of the season at home to league leaders Wetherby next Saturday.

Crossgates A v South Milford A

Crossgates won the toss and elected to bat. A good decision on a hard and fast wicket.

M.Hatherley made 49, D. Anderson 49,both being unfortunate not to reach their half centuries. However M.Ellington 51 and L.Dissanayaka 56 helped crossgates to a fine total of 253.

Milford used just three bowlers,Jamie Baxter 2-62,M.Featherstone 1-80 and J Barr 3-100 South Milford made 126 in reply with Jonathan Barr the pick of their batsmen with a fine 54.

Impressive bowling from crossgates made their task even harder, with Zarak Khan 4-13, Lahiru Dissanayaka 3-24, Daryll Atack 1-11, A.Swallow 2-26, resulting in a good win for Crossgates by 127 runs.
