ARNIE ELLISON grabbed a brace of tries as Otley signed off the season with a deserved 19-12 success at relegated Bromsgrove.
The hosts were playing for pride as they prepared for life in the lower leagues while Otley had already ensured National Two North safety.
Full-back Ellison, who has been in top form lately, lit up an otherwise sedate first half with a smart try, Mark Ireland converting. Otley went further ahead with centre Harry Hudson breaking through and leaving Ireland to convert again, making it 14-0.
Bromsgrove hit back with an unconverted try out wide but that was cancelled out quickly as Ellison burst clear once more for his side’s third, also unconverted, leaving the score 19-5.
Bromsgrove finished with a try to make the final score-line more respectable but Otley will be hoping the performance keeps them sharp with the Yorkshire Cup still very much in their sights.
Harrogate, meanwhile, found Two North promotion candidates Stourbridge too much to handle and subsequently went down 41-19 to the visitors.
Harrogate did mount a spirited second-half recovery but Stourbridge were simply bigger, faster and stronger throughout the side. Unfortunately for them, Darlington defeated Macclesfield so promotion has eluded them for at least another season.
Sandal overcame National League Three North leaders Huddersfield 13-0 to swrap up their programme.
Austen Thompson scored the only try of the game with James Ellar kicking one conversion and two penalties.
Sandal finished a creditable campaign in fourth place.
