Chester said: “It’s a massive boost for us getting Scotty back.

“He was the form nine in the comp until getting banned.

“We felt we were pretty hard done by with the ban but have drawn a line under it now, he’s looked after himself and can’t wait to go.

“He and David Fifita will give us a real big lift over these next few months.”

On Fifita, Chester added: “It’s timely for us getting him in, certainly going into the Super 8s. He’s been here a couple weeks now, knows the surroundings, knows the boys really well and we’re very excited about him.

“He’ll bring some real grunt to the forward pack, give us some punch going forward and some aggression as well.

“He’s got a fantastic offload in him and for a big boy he’s quick and agile. There’s a lot of players who have played a lot of minutes the last three or four weeks and it’s important we freshen the squad up.

“We haven’t got any new injury worries, we’ve just got a few tired legs and we’re fortunate to be able to rotate.”
