Rams have eye on Hawk
FORMER Bradford player Richie Hawkyard has been identified as a big danger to Dewsbury Rams' 100 per cent record in Co-op Championship One.
Rams boss Warren Jowitt sees Hawkyard as a key player for tomorrow's visitors Swinton Lions.
"He's a very good player, very dangerous," said Jowitt. "He was a scrum-half, but they put him to full-back and it seems to have revitalised him.
"He caused us big problems last time we played them so we have to be on our guard."
Swinton are fifth in the table and Jowitt added: "They are doing well. Last time we played them they were a bit of a handful and they had a good win against Hunslet last week.
"It is a big game. We know if we are on our game we can beat pretty much anybody, but we'll have to play well – we can't afford not to."
Jowitt will select from the 17 players who beat London Skolars last week, plus Alex Bretherton and Andrew Bostock.
Dewsbury Rams (v Swinton, from): Lingard, Powell, Spurr, Epati, Buchanan, Finn, P Walker, Robinson, Emmett, Hirst, Spicer, Wildey, Hayes, Wildbore, Lockwood, Smith, Grice, Bretherton, Bostock.
Referee: Warren Turley (Leigh).
Kick-off: Tomorrow, 3pm.
