The changes will be rung for Batley Bulldogs’ home Northern Rail Cup tie against London Skolars on Sunday.

Batley began with an impressive 22-16 win at Keighley Cougars five days ago and coach John Kear will select from the same 17, plus Ian Preece, pictured, Adam Scott, Chris Buttery, Keegan Hirst and Luke Menzies.

“There will be one or two changes,” Kear confirmed.

“We’ve got four games in the Northern Rail, then we play Leigh in the league on the Thursday night after, so games are coming thick and fast.

“I have told all the squad that over the course of the Northern Rail the vast majority will get a game.

“I intend to stick by that. I want to make sure everyone gets an opportunity to stake a claim for the first league game and if anyone gets bumps or bruises, there won’t be any chances taken.”
