Leeds Rhinos: Our side is the greatest - Diskin
Old Trafford try scorer Matt Diskin believes the current Leeds Rhinos side is now the club's best ever.
"Three Super League wins in a row is going to take some beating by any team," he said.
"I don't think it'll be done again. We'll go down in history as the greatest Leeds team and I think that's justified."
Of his touchdown in Saturday's 18-10 Grand Final win over St Helens, hooker Diskin said: "It wasn't the most spectacular try, but they all add up to four points. Scoring at Old Trafford is a fantastic feeling.
"I am on an emotional high, it is unreal. My role in the team has changed this year and at the start I struggled to adjust to it, but what a way to finish."
Diskin will celebrate his testimonial in 2010. He added: "I am proud as punch to have played for Leeds for 10 years, it's a fantastic club and they've really looked after me."
Prop Kylie Leuluai described it as probably the toughest game he has ever played in.
He said: "Sometimes I was questioning myself if I could still carry on – and I had come off the bench.
"Other boys played 80 minutes, it was pretty tough for them. We just want to do well for each other. It has been a hard year, but this is what we aimed for."
Substitute prop Luke Burgess was the only Leeds player making his Grand Final debut.
"It was amazing," he said. "Everyone kept saying it'll be the most amazing feeling ever, but you don't know that until you experience it.
"When the final whistle went, it was unbelievable, all the emotions. All the lads came and spoke to me before the game and said just go out and enjoy it, the occasion, the warm-up and the game and when you get on, just play your normal game.
"They are a great sets of lads and I'm privileged to be playing among them. It's the high point of my career. At 22 I've won a Grand Final and it's absolutely unbelievable. I just want more now."
Winger Scott Donald said winning three successive titles is an "amazing feeling".
He added: "The game's made for creating history, we have done it and I'm extremely proud and all the boys are as well."
