Hall leads the Lions rampage
WINGER Chris Hall touched down four times and back-rowers Craig Barker and Steve Laurie both scored a hat-trick as Featherstone Lions demolished Liverpool Buccaneers 92-6 in Co-op Conference National.
Lions ran in 18 tries to avenge a 56-8 defeat at Liverpool earlier in the season.
Richard Colley and Josh Hardcastle crossed twice and other try scorers were Scott Glassell, Leigh Joyce, Mark Kear and Ian Jackson.
Glassell kicked six goals, Danny Huby added three and Simon Child landed one.
Assistant-coach Jon Nicholls inspired leaders Bramley Buffaloes to an outstanding 56-4 home win over Warrington Wizards.
With boss Mark Butterill away, Nicholls was in charge of the team and he capped a fine display with the final try.
Nicky Fontaine and Andy McGann both scored a brace for Buffaloes, who were down to their last 17 available players due to injuries and unavailability.
Chris Gardner, Danny O'Connor, Jim Shuttleworth, Shaun Flynn and Daniel Caston also touched down and the goal scorers were Matthew Booth (7) and Gardner.
The game finished 11-a-side after Buffaloes' Fontaine and Nathan Anderson were dismissed – along with two opponents – for punching seven minutes into the second half.
Kippax Knights are two points clear at the top of the Conference Yorkshire Premier Division following a 42-6 win over York Lokomotive.
Tom Strong crossed twice, with Mark Boswell, Andy Tillett, Danny Gill, Steve Scott and Richard Stone getting the others.
Leeds Akkies were beaten 20-10 by visitors Scarborough Pirates, despite tries by Billy Greensides and Chris Roda and a Tom Bandloss conversion.
Sean McQue's late try, converted by Ryan Swires, earned Parkside Hawks an 18-18 draw with Scunthorpe Barbarians in the North Midlands Regional Division at South Leeds Stadium.
Lee Fisher and Lee West scored the other tries.
