Field out for the season
FEATHERSTONE will be without back-rower Jamie Field for the rest of the season.
Field has been told he needs surgery on the dislocated shoulder he suffered last month.
Coach Daryl Powell said: "It's a blow because he has been excellent for us.
"But we've been reasonably okay with injuries this year.
"You're going to get one long-termer each season and unfortunately it's Jamie.
"He will be a loss, but it's an opportunity for somebody else and the other blokes have been standing up since he has been out."
Jon Steel could return from a slight hamstring tear when Rovers host Gateshead Thunder in the Co-op Championship tomorrow.
And Tony Tonks and Richard Blakeway have also come back into contention after impressing for the reserves.
