WIGAN WARRIORS forward Willie Isa admits tonight’s visit of Leeds Rhinos is a must-win for the defending champions.

Wigan are eighth in Betfred Super League and could end the regular season seven points outside the top four, if they lose tonight and Salford Red Devils and Wakefield Trinity both win this weekend.

That would leave them with a mountain to climb in the Super-8s and Isa accepts the pressure is on.

Wigan have won only two of their last 11 league games, though last week’s loss to Warrington Wolves was their first in four.

“We set these last five league games as must win and we have that attitude each week now,” said the former Castleford Tigers man.

“We need to pick up some wins so we can have some control. We need to start winning games and do what we did last year.

“We really had our backs against the wall last year, everyone doubted us. We like to be up against it, we’re okay with that.”

Last week’s defeat was a blow to Wigan’s semi-final chances and Isa added: “I think the important thing is to stay positive and know what the task is at hand.

“Leeds are a big team and we need a big win. Last week was a bit of a dip, but the boys are excited about this game, going out there against a big team like Leeds, at home on a Friday night. They don’t come much bigger than this. “
