Leeds Rhinos begin the second half of the regular season when they travel to St Helens tonight.

It is a crucial game for two of the past decade’s top teams, who have both found the going tough this year.

Here are five talking points ahead of the match.

1: Rhinos’ season could hinge on the next three games. Beat Saints and Huddersfield twice and they are back in the mix, but defeats would end their interest in two competitions.

2: Leeds can travel to Langtree Park with some confidence. Last week’s win over Hull was a step in the right direction.

3: The scenario is very different to 12 months ago, when Rhinos’ victory at Saints lifted them six points clear at the top of the Super League table.

4: Saints have lost three successive home games, but their last win was away to Warrington and they will field a stronger side tonight.

5: Rhinos haven’t won successive games since the end of the 2015 season when victories over Huddersfield,Saints and Wigan secured the league leaders’ shield and Grand Final trophy.
