THIRTEEN PLAYERS with Super League experience have been named in the Leeds Rhinos squad which will aim to snatch the Lazenby Cup back from Hunslet Hawks on Sunday.

Rhinos assistant-coach Chris Plume – who will be in charge for the annual fixture at South Leeds Stadium – has named a stronger than usual line-up as the Super League side aim to avenge last year’s defeat. Leeds will field nine players with a 2015 squad number and their side also includes winger James Duckworth and centre Luke Briscoe, who played for Hawks in last season’s title-clinching Kingstone Press Championship One Grand Final victory over Oldham. Rhinos senior squad are due to arrive back in England early tomorrow after their week-long pre-season camp in Jacksonville, Florida.

Meanwhile, full-back Zak Hardaker is expected to be available for Jamie Peacock’s testimonial game agianst Bradford Bulls on Sunday, January 25, after missing last weekend’s win over the USA Pioneers due to illness. The Rhinos team to face Hunslet is: Golding, Duckworth, Keinhorst, L Briscoe, Handley, Sutcliffe, Lilley, Mulhern, R Ward, Yates, Achurch, S Ward, Singleton. Subs: Walters, Minchella, Milton, Hallas, Frankland, Brierley, Sanderson.
