Record-breaking captain Kevin Sinfield was dropped from Leeds Rhinos’ side for tonight’s Super League derby at Huddersfield Giants.

Sinfield, who had been a substitute in Rhinos’ previous two games, was named in the initial 19, but not included in the matchday 17.

Rhinos were also without in-form second-row Stevie Ward, who has an ankle injury, but Jamie Jones-Buchanan was back in the team after recovering from a hamstring problem.

Jimmy Keinhorst, who has been playing for Hunslet Hawks on dual-registration, was named in the centres for his first Rhinos appearance this year.

His inclusion allowed Carl Ablett to switch into the forwards. Another positional change saw Brad Singleton drop to the bench.
