Leeds Rhinos could be unchanged from the 40-30 win at Hull KR five days ago when they begin their home campaign against Widnes Vikings tonight.

Coach Brian McDermott will select from the 17 players on duty last Sunday, plus Liam Sutcliffe and Andy Yates, who replaces Josh Walters in the initial 19.

Yates, who will make his Super League debut if selected, joined Rhinos in 2013 from Hunslet Hawks, but suffered an Achilles injury early in pre-season training. The former St Helens and England academy prop played one comeback game on dual-registration for Hunslet, but missed the rest of last year due to a biceps tear.

Only Brett Delaney, who is now training after knee surgery and an ankle injury, is not available for selection this week.

Widnes are without winger Patrick Ah Van, who was banned for one match after being sent-off in last week’s draw with Wigan. Stand-off Kevin Brown (concussion) is also ruled out. Declan Hulme drops out from last week’s team, with Danny Craven, Ben Kavanagh, Danny Galea, Macgraff Leuluai and Jack Owens all vying for a call-up.
