Forwards Jordan Baldwinson and Josh Walters – who scored the match-winning try in last season’s Grand Final – plus winger Luke Briscoe, will link up with Jon Sharp’s squad immediately.

The clubs have an existing dual registration agreement that has seen a number of Leeds players feature for Sharp’s side this season. In addition to the three loan signings, players who are eligible to play on dual registration having played three games will also be available.

Rhinos chief executive Gary Hetherington said: “We have had an excellent relationship with Featherstone this season and wish them well for their massive game this Sunday. The three loan players will be with Featherstone for the remainder of the season.

“We will make a decision on the dual registered players in due course but if they are not required by Brian McDermott for the first team for the Qualifiers, they will be released to join Featherstone. If they play for one of the teams they are then unable to play for anyone else in the Qualifiers.

“Team selection for Featherstone will be a matter entirely for them and we will not place any restrictions on when players can play.”

Sharp added: “At the start of the season the purpose of this partnership was to allow us to complement our squad and I think it’s been a great success. The way the Rhinos players have conducted themselves on and off the field when representing Rovers has been exemplary and I’d like to thank Gary and Brian (McDermott, the Leeds coach) for their help in facilitating this partnership which I am sure will go from strength to strength.”
