Leeds Rhinos legend Jamie Peacock is helping raise funds and awareness for a charity close to his heart with a new-look kit launched by the club for the Magic Weekend.
Peacock, who retires at the end of this season, is receiving a donation from each Rhinos shirt sold this year towards his testimonial fund. But he’ll donate all his proceeds from the Magic shirt to the Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice.
The silver and navy kit, based on JP’s favourite Leeds away kit from 2006, will actually get its first run out this Friday in the televised game at Warrington Wolves.
Peacock said: “It is great that we are also able to raise funds for the fantastic work done at Wheatfields. I know from first hand experience, the incredible job they do there and I know every penny donated will help.”
