Leeds Rhinos: Carl Ablett salutes 'lucky' Rhinos
IN-FORM back-rower Carl Ablett has attributed Leeds Rhinos' rude health to a mixture of good luck and hard work.
At this stage, long-term casualty Danny Buderus (broken leg) is the only member of Rhinos' squad not in contention for Friday's engage Super League semi-final at home to Les Catalans Dragons.
That's an enviable situation to be in going into the final two weeks of the domestic season and Ablett feels effort put in last year is paying off now.
"Obviously you need some luck to avoid bad breaks and injuries like that," he said. "But I think the coaches and the medical staff do a great job.
Preparation
"We do a lot of re-hab work and preparation so your body's prepared for what is a brutal sport, a collision sport.
"We do a lot of work and a lot weights and we try to prepare as well as we can for games. You come back in November at the beginning of an eight-week pre-season and this is the time now that it pays off."
