Rob Burrow is set to return for Leeds Rhinos at Hull tonight.
Rhinos’ initial 19-man squad includes the 17 who beat Huddersfield last week, plus Burrow and Josh Walters, but coach Brian McDermott said the No7 is “likely” to replace Liam Sutcliffe.
Burrow has not been selected for the past two matches, while Walters has yet to play for Leeds this season, but featured on dual-registration for Hunslet last Sunday. Aussie Brett Delaney has also signed on dual reg’ terms with the Hawks.
Meanwhile, Rhinos captain Kevin Sinfield needs six points to move ahead of John Woods into fourth place in the sport’s list of all-time leading scorers.
Hull captain Gareth Ellis – a former Rhino – is set to return after a two-game break due to a rib injury and prop Iafeta Paleaaesina, who has been playing on dual-reg’ with Doncaster, is also in contention, along with Aussie centre Steve Michaels, full-back Jamie Shaul and prop Josh Bowden.
The hosts will be without the versatile Richard Whiting, who suffered a broken hand during the defeat at Salford Red Devils last Thursday.
James Cunningham (head) also drops out, as does Dean Hadley.
