The 35-year-old has missed Rhinos’ past three matches after suffering a foot injury in last month’s win over Salford Red Devils.

He has been included in Leeds’ initial 19-man squad for the trip to the John Smith’s Stadium and his comeback would ease their problems in the pack.

Stevie Ward (hamstring) remains on the casualty list with an injury also suffered against Salford, Keith Galloway (Achilles) has yet to feature this year and Jack Ormondroyd is ruled out with a knee problem.

Leeds are also without Brad Singleton, who has served one game of a six-match ban and Liam Sutcliffe misses a second successive fixture due to a quad problem.

Winger Ash Handley, who made his only Leeds appearance of the season so far in the defeat at Castleford three weeks ago, has been drafted into the 19.

Huddersfield coach Rick Stone could field an unchanged team from the draw at Wigan Warriors five days ago, with Ryan Brierley and Dale Ferguson, who is available after injury, completing the 19.
