THREE MEMBERS of Leeds Rhinos’ Grand Final-winning team will feature in Friday’s Lazenby Cup tie at city rivals Hunslet Hawks.
Jimmy Keinhorst – who can operate effectively in the backrow – has been named in the centres, Mitch Garbutt will start at prop and Josh Walters, who scored the crucial try in last October’s victory over Wigan Warriors, is included at loose-forward.
Mitch Achurch, who was in the team which won last year’s Challenge Cup final, will start in the second-row.
Other first-team squad members set to play in the annual pre-season derby are full-back Ashton Golding, winger Ash Handley, scrum-half Jordan Lilley and prop Jordan Baldwinson.
The rest of the 20-man squad is made up of academy players, including 17-year-olds Josh Jordan-Roberts, Cameron Smith and Mikolaj Oledski, who have stepped straight out of Leeds’ scholarship and have yet to make an appearance for the under-19s.
Rhinos have been training at the Stanningley amateur club after their own facilities at Kirkstall were damaged in the Boxing Day flood.
Leeds Rhinos’ team is: Ashton Golding, Ash Handley, Tommy Brierley, Jimmy Keinhorst, Ryan Jones, Joe Sanderson, Jordan Lilley, Mitch Garbutt, Ben Brady, Jordan Baldwinson, Mitch Achurch, Josh Jordan-Roberts, Josh Walters.
