Castleford Tigers v Leeds Rhinos: Rivals forced into changes ahead of derby clash

Visitors Leeds Rhinos are without Carl Ablett (suspended) and Mitch Garbutt (pectoral muscle) and have doubts over fellow forwards Jamie Jones-Buchanan (foot) and Stevie Ward (hamstring).

Brett Delaney and Ash Handley are in contention for the first time this season and Josh Walters is vying for a recall.

Tigers will be without both their specialist stand-offs.

Ben Roberts misses out due to a groin injury suffered in training before last week’s win at Warrington Wolves and Rangi Chase has been dropped for disciplinary reasons.

Hooker Paul McShane is available after serving a one-game ban and could slot into the halves.

Another Rhinos product Alex Foster, who joined Tigers on trial after the old Bradford Bulls club ceased trading, has been drafted into the initial 19-man squad and could make his debut. Also in contention is forward Will Maher, who has been playing on dual-registration for Batley Bulldogs.
