Graham Holroyd scored a try and four goals in a 21-14 defeat of Oldham at Watersheddings, the opening game in a nine-match winning run.
Leeds’ other try scorers were Jim Fallon and Ellery Hanley and Garry Schofield added a drop goal.

1969
Ray Batten was man of the match for Leeds in a 29-11 win at Featherstone Rovers, which came after they scored three tries inside the opening 10 minutes.
Batten touched down twice and other try scorers were Albert Eyre, Syd Hynes, Bernard Watson, John Burke and Alan Smith. Bev Risman landed four goals.
1936
Winger Eric Harris scored a club record 63 tries during the 1935-36 season and touched down in 17 consecutive games, including a brace against Hull KR in an 18-7 home win on January 11.
Jim Brough scored a try and three goals and Stan Brogden also crossed.
