HUNSLET HAWKS’ players can expect to face a video nasty at training tonight.
Coach Matt Bramald admitted Hawks are in for a tough week following their 40-6 defeat at Barrow Raiders two days ago.
Sunday’s Kingstone Press League One defeat was a big disappointment after a 46-12 home win over the same opposition in the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup two weeks earlier.
“It is going to be a difficult week,” Bramald warned.
“It is going to be an uncomfortable Tuesday for people when we review the game.
“But that is part and parcel of being a rugby league player and they’ve got to take that on the chin and respond.
“We’ll be looking for a big reaction, because we’ve got a big game against Doncaster in the Challenge Cup on Friday.”
Of Sunday’s performance, which came a week after a 28-18 defeat at Rochdale Hornets, Bramald said: “It was very disappointing, especially the first half.
“It was disjointed, we lacked energy and enthusiasm.
“We lost control of the ruck too many times and gave away too many penalties, which goes hand-in-hand.
“We went 28-0 down at half-time and it’s a long way back from that.”
Hawks have injury doubts over Jake Normington, who suffered a wrist injury and Chris Buttery (thumb).
