Hawks winger Mo Agoro scored a sparkling 18-minute second-half hat-trick to book his side’s place in the fifth round of the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup, writes Tom Leak.

The fourth round clash presented a difficult task for the Hawks who faced the long away trip to Gloucester, but an early brace of tries settled their nerves.

Centre Richie Barnett and forward Brad Brennan got the touchdowns, with Danny Ansell adding a goal.

The home side countered in the 25th minute, with captain Steve Parry scoring, but with the half drawing to a close, the Hawks were awarded a penalty just 10 metres from the line.

Hunslet elected to go for the two, with Ansell again converting to take the score to 12-4 at half-time. Just three minutes into the second half, Gloucester scored another try through Joe McClean with the conversion from Matt Bradley also successful, before a quick counter from the Hawks, saw Ansell drawing the defence and releasing centre Elliot Cosgrove to score.

Agoro got the first of his treble in the 50th minute – a great pass from Lee Brickwood setting the winger up – and his second came 10 minutes later following a fantastic team move.

He scored again on 68 as a brilliant long pass from Simon Brown found Agoro alone on the wing to complete his hat-trick.
