FEATHERSTONE stormed to their first win at Big Fellas Stadium this season with a 13-try spree.

Jy Hitchcox grabbed three tries, including two in the final three minutes, and Jamie Cording and Alex Foster both scored twice.

Gareth Moore chipped in with a try and eight goals in a win that lifted Rovers to fourth place in the Championship.

They were far too good for lowly Workington who were 16-0 behind after just 10 minutes. Ian Hardman’s second- minute try started the rout.

Hitchcox then collected a Workington kick and raced 80 yards to score before Andy Ellis went over from close range.

Ben Blackmore sent in Cording for his first try, Nathan Chappell chased his own kick to score and Paul Sykes’s kick set up a touchdown for half-back partner Moore.

Foster grabbed his first try by finishing the best move of the game involving Chappell and Thomas Minns.

Cording grabbed his second from Blackmore’s kick and Moore added his sixth goal to make it 44-0 at half-time.

French international Remy Marginet hacked on a kick from Minns to score and Jack Bussey scooped up a loose ball to go over, before Rovers finished with a flourish with three late tries from Foster and a Hitchcox brace.
