Featherstone missed a chance to climb into the top four when their six-match winning run was ended at London Broncos.

Former Featherstone centre Ben Hellewell grabbed two tries and another ex-Rovers centre, Alex Foster, also scored.

Rovers led 12-4 at half-time but London came out on top with three tries in the last 13 minutes.

Featherstone went ahead after 10 minutes when prop Jordan Baldwinson plunged over, and doubled their lead six minutes later when second-rower John Davies gathered a grubber kick to score.

Rovers’ centre Brad Tagg was sin-binned in the 22nd minute and Broncos capitalised two minutes later when Hellewell put in winger Rhys Williams.

Rovers finished the half on top, stand-off Danny Craven darting over two minutes before half-time. Kyle Briggs missed his third conversion.

Broncos found a way through in the 67th minute when Hellewell went in for his first try, goaled by Scott Leatherbarrow, who converted Foster’s try four minutes later. And Broncos sealed victory five minutes from time with Hellewell’s second try. Both teams finished with 12 men after Foster and Featherstone’s Ian Hardman were sin-binned after a 78th minute flare-up.
