Featherstone Rovers: Spears closer to return

Injured second-row Tim Spears is getting closer to his Featherstone Rovers return.

The former Castleford, Dewsbury and Batley player is recovering from a cartilage operation, but coach Daryl Powell said: "I am hoping he is going to play for the reserves against York next Wednesday."

Rovers have no other injury problems and could be unchanged from last weekend's win over Dewsbury when they visit Barrow Raiders in the Co-op Championship tomorrow, though Dane Manning and Aaron Dobek have both been placed on stand-by.
