DEWSBURY RAMS coach Glenn Morrison has thanked his players for backing him in the stunning 32-30 win at Featherstone Rovers two days ago.

Rams trailed 20-8 at half-time, but turned the Kingstone Press Championship clash on its head with a dominant second half performance.

Morrison said: “It was a great comeback.

“I think in the first half we were poor.

“I sat down at half-time and went through my notes and what I had said to them before the game and they had done everything the opposite to that.

“I asked them to back me and do what I asked and they did it very well.

“They defended strongly, ran hard and played hard in that second half.

“It shows if we play to our best we can match these top teams.

“It was really pleasing. The boys had my back and they had each other’s back and they turned the tide in the second half.”

Morrison said Luke Adamson suffered a head injury, but Rams – who are at home to London Broncos on Sunday – otherwise came through unscathed.

“That was pleasing as well,” he said.

“It’s probably the first time in eight weeks we’ve not had a player leave the field early on and not be able to come back and we haven’t had to change the team around.”
