LEEDS RHINOS will be aiming to make it third time lucky when they face Wigan Warriors during Super League’s 2015 Magic Weekend.
Rhinos will take on Wigan on Saturday, May 30, in the third and final match of the weekend’s opening day (7pm).
Castleford Tigers and Wakefield Trinity Wildcats will close the event – at Newcastle United’s St James’ Park – the following afternoon (5.30pm).
It will be the eighth time an entire round of Super League matches has been staged over two days at one venue, but the first venture to the north east.
Rhinos had a 100 per cent record until losing to Wigan at Etihad Stadium, Manchester, in 2013 – and they were beaten by the same opponents this year.
Salford Red Devils and Widnes Vikings will get the Magic Weekend underway on the Saturday (2.30pm), before a derby showdown between Hull and Hull KR (4.45pm). Catalans Dragons and Huddersfield Giants meet in Sunday’s opening match (1pm), followed by St Helens against Warrington Wolves (3.15pm).
Magic Weekend tickets go on sale today, from Super League clubs or the RFL. Prices start at £40 for the weekend or £25 per day, with a £5 discount on tickets bought before Monday, December 8.
