Castleford Tigers’ home ground has been renamed for a third time in a new a sponsorship deal with Wish Communications.
The Wheldon Road venue will be known as Wish Communications Stadium for the 2013 season.
The deal replaces a previous agreement with the club’s former main main sponsor, which saw the ground rebranded as Probiz Coliseum.
Before that it was known as The Jungle, following sponsorship by a computer company Jungle.com.
Specialising in the supply of business-to-business communications solutions, Wish Communications will have its branding displayed on the stadium roof lines and pitch perimeter.
It will continue to sponsor the hospitality suite at the ground and the company name will also feature on the Tigers’ home and away shirts.
Tigers commercial manager Nick Fozzard said: “Wish Communications has been a sponsor since 2010 and we are delighted they have increased their sponsorship with us next season.”
Phil Butts, sales director at Wish Communications, also welcomed the deal.
He said: “We are really pleased to continue our support of the Tigers and raise our profile further as stadium sponsor for 2013. It will be our third year with the club and we are proud to be one of its leading sponsors.”
The announcement comes as the Tigers’ near the half-way point in their drive to recruit 5,000 members.
Fozzard said: “With our main sponsors now confirmed and almost half of our target memberships achieved, we are making great strides towards where we need to be.”
Meanwhile Tigers have extended early bird prices for memberships.
Prices will now remain until midnight on December 31 and the opportunity to pay by direct debit on silver or gold memberships has also been extended until the club shop closes on December 9.
