The Australian, 26, will face a disciplinary tribunal on Tuesday evening after being charged with making a Grade B dangerous throw on London Broncos’ Thomas Minns during Castleford’s 64-18 win yesterday.

If found guilty, Carney faces up to a two game ban, potentially ruling him out of the game at Leigh Sports Village.

Castleford - already without injured key forward Grant Millington - are also sweating over the availability of back-row Weller Hauraki, who was handed a two-match suspension last week.

His appeal, over the charge for recklessly striking with the knees, will also be heard tomorrow night.
