IT’S another derby date in Super League tonight as Leeds Rhinos – buoyed by their 30-18 win over St Helens last week – make the short trip to Castleford Tiger’s Wheldon Road home.

Daryl Powell’s side are still smarting from their 56-12 at the hands of Warrington Wolves last week and will be eager to hit back as quickly as possible.

HAPPY DAYS:
Castleford head coach Daryl Powell, front, goes head-to-head with Leeds Rhinos counterpart Brian McDermott on Thursday night.

1: It could be a battle of returning pivots. Tigers hope to welcome back Ben Roberts and Danny McGuire could feature for Leeds Rhinos. Both will make a big difference.

2: A crowd of close to 11,500 is expected. That will make for an electric atmosphere.

3: The fact Rhinos can leave out Singleton and Garbutt - again - and Baldwinson and Achurch have returned to dual-registration club Featherstone proves their injury crisis is easing. No excuses now.

4: Their next two matches are at home to Wakefield and Hull KR, so Rhinos have an opportunity to build a winning run.

5: Tigers had the upper hand last year winning twice at Headingley, but they have never beaten Leeds at the Jungle under Daryl Powell.
