HUNSLET CLUB Parkside and Milford Marlins are both through to the semi-finals of the National Conference Trophy.

Parkside won 36-14 at city rivals East Leeds despite having Craig Miles sent-off on 24 minutes for punching.

First Division Parkside, who also had Ryan Campbell sin-binned, were 14-0 ahead of their Division Two hosts when Miles was dismissed and led 22-0 soon after the break.

Easts replied with tries by Ben Walkin, who was sin-binned late on for punching, and John Carter, and a Tom Sheldrake conversion, but Parkside pulled clear before Tim Norfolk went over for a late consolation.

Kieran Murphy scored a hat-trick for Parkside, Omar Al-Rawi bagged a brace and Dale Harris, Danny Harrison and Jamie Fields, who added two goals, also touched down.

There were allegations after the game that a female East Leeds official had been the victim of ‘pushing and shoving’ by a Parkside player following the final whistle.

Milford Marlins joined Parkside in the last four thanks to a 38-10 home win over fellow Division One side Ince Rose Bridge.

Forwards James Barker, John Elkington and Eddie Wilson were outstanding for Marlins, alongside winger Matt Brocksom.

Barker (2), Wilson and Brocksom were among the try scorers, with Dave Watmough, Elliott Watmough, Mark Judge and Josh Cawood also crossing.

Dave Watmough kicked three goals.

Jack Sykes scored a hat-trick of tries and three goals as second-placed Stanningley won 26-14 at Rylands Sharks in Conference Division Three
