Amateur RL: Fields is on fire for freescoring Parkside club

A 32-POINT haul from Jamie Fields '“ who scored a hat-trick of tries and kicked 10 goals '“ was the highlight of Hunslet Club Parkside's 74-4 demolition of Stanley Rangers in National Conference Division Two.

Parkside ran in 13 tries, with Craig Miles and Jake Corney both bagging a brace and Dale Harris, Chris Boyce, Jack Carville, Omar Alrawi, Josh Muphy and Adam Biscomb getting the others.

Thornhill Trojans were crushed 50-0 at Leigh East in the same division.

Milford Marlins won 44-16 in Division One to hand East Leeds a third defeat in eight days.

Martin Loveridge had an outstanding game, scoring a try and six goals. Marlins’ other try scorers were Adam Kelly, Zak Snellgrove (2), Macauley Barron, Andy Barker, James Barker and Craig Harrison.

Easts competed well in the first half, but ran out of steam as their fixture pile-up took its toll.

Luke Tomlinson, Dave Nurse and Lee Fisher crossed for tries and Nathan Conroy kicked two conversions.

A bruised and battered Hunslet Warriors side, including several players carrying injuries from the midweek win against East Leeds, were beaten 36-10 at Thatto Heath. Daryl Gaunt was man of the match for Warriors, whose try scorers were Luke Rayner and Luke Day. Jordan Gale kicked one goal.

Oulton Raiders could not back-up their midweek victory against Shaw Cross, losing 26-18 to Skirlaugh. Kieran Walpole, James Cruickshank and Lawrence Dibb scored the tries, with Dom Flanagan landing three goals.

Former Super League star Lee Gilmour, now assistant-coach at Wakefield Wildcats, played for Shaw Cross in an 80-4 win over Elland.
