North Leeds CC move on up
North Leeds CC visited Bilton on the back of a good win the previous week against Pool.
Both matches representing early season top-of-the-table clashes and a win for the Leeds side could put them top.

Skipper, Timothy Cooper, won the toss and invited the Harrogate based outfit to bat.
On a wet wicket the bowling was opened by Gregory Kennedy and Nicolas Richardston, both proceeded to dismantle the Bilton line up with pace, accuracy and cunning, at one point Bilton were 4 for 6, the bowlers were ably backed up by some excellent fielding from Thomas Atkinson and Timothy Jackson but the highlight in the field was a superb run out by Steve Spungelman who dived to his left, stopped the ball and in a flash threw down the stumps. Special note goes to Steve Wales for his bravery at silly mid off.
Richardston finished with figures of 5-21 off 14 overs and Kennedy 4-24 off 15 overs, Bilton were rolled over for a paltry 49.
North Leeds opened with Cooper and Jackson, the later on the back of a 70 and 60 in his first two matches, with only 50 needed for victory, the Leeds side got off to an disastrous start losing Jackson 0, Winter 0 and Cooper 4.
They found themselves in a similar position to Bilton at 3 for 4, fortunately in came Thomas Atkinson and Firemun Khan who pushed the score onto 36, then Khan was needlessly run out by Atkinson, in came last years Captain, Martin Kellaway who steered the ship home despite some feisty sledging from the opposition and with Thomas Huddelstone waiting nervously in the wings.
Last year's Champions, Collingham visit the Homestead next week which should give the first team a test on how good they really are.
With Rob Winter injured and Steve Spungelman unavailable, Barry Singleton returns to the first team after some fine form in the 2nds and Steve Plummer, a new signing from the Nottingham area, makes his first appearance in the first team.
