North East Leeds U-11s 14
An outstanding result on a perfect day for football.
After a rather scrappy opening Aiden Yaffe put North East Leeds ahead with a tap-in after a scramble in the box. Markel Henry scored the second after being set up by captain Josh Baggott.
Markel Henry then scored his second goal a few minutes later after Lawrence Roberts put the ball through to allow Markel to finish a good passing move.
Only minutes later Oliver Batley got himself on the score sheet after another good ball from Lawrence gave Oliver the opportunity to score with a good low shot. Josh Baggott brought the scoreline to 5-0 after an excellent long range shot leaving the keeper with no chance.
Middleton Park persisted to battle and managed to score after a well worked free kick. On 28 minutes Josh scored his second goal making the score 6-1.
On the stroke of half time Aiden concluded the first half scoring after North East Leeds displayed some excellent passing around the box and a good ball from Declan Denison set Aiden up to score his second.
At half time players were asked to continue with their hard work and play as they had done in the first half and they did just that.
Lawrence Roberts opened the scoring in the second half after he got on the end of a brilliant cross from Oliver. Only 2 minutes later Lawrence scored his second goal after he turned in Markel's shot. Declan scored on 41 minutes from a corner with an excellent volleyed finish at the near post.
Oliver scored the next goal with a great shot from distance after the keeper had come off his line. Substitutes were made one of which was Ramiro Sturla who came on and scored a good half volley from the edge of the box. Middleton Park got their second goal on 48 minutes after a superb finish from their striker who was a threat throughout.
Captain Josh Baggott scored his hat-trick after one of his trademark runs resulting in an excellent individual goal. Aiden finished the scoring just before the final whistle after some good running from Markel Henry allowed Aiden Yaffe a tap-in and giving him his first hat-trick of the season.
In summary a good performance against a Middleton side who never gave up and continued to press for goals throughout the game.
Man of the match award could have gone to a number of player however it was Stephen Carr who was a rock at the back and showed that he had been paying attention in training after some excellent communication skills, exemplary heading and his consistent excellent performances week in week out.
