North East Leeds U-11s 9
Garforth Rangers B U-11s 0
North East Leeds continued their winning streak with another convincing win.
Captain Josh Baggott opened the scoring on seven minutes with his trademark goal which seems to be identical every week, picking the ball up in his own half, running down the right hand side and calmly passing the ball into the net.
Aiden Yaffe was the next to find the back of the net after an excellent ball over the top from Lawrence Roberts which Aiden chased and finished well.
North East Leeds found themselves 3-0 up when Markel Henry yet again showed his excellent finishing qualities. Josh Baggott got his second goal of the game on 25 minutes with a carbon copy of his first with another excellent individual goal.
On the stroke of half time Markel Henry brought the scoreline to 5-0, whilst most of the North East Leeds players were appealing for a penalty, Markel kept his concentration and got himself a second goal.
The second half continued in the same manner as the first half. Josh Baggott grabbed himself a superb individual hat-trick with another very similar goal to his previous two.
Markel Henry followed suit with a hat-trick on 39 minutes, after he ran from inside his own half into a one to one situation with the Garforth keeper and blasted the ball into the top of the net making the score 7-0.
After this goal newcomer Taf Mumbanya was brought on for his debut and within minutes he found himself on the score sheet.
Stephen Carr picked Taf out with a brilliant free kick allowing him a clear run on goal followed by an excellent finish.
Birthday boy Declan Denison completed the scoring with a good close range shot after a scramble in the area. North East Leeds finished with a comfortable 9-0 win, however Garforth should be commended for their constant work rate and effort, having never give up or letting their heads go down.
The defence was superbly led by Stephen Carr and we were extremely pleased to keep a clean sheet and delighted for Ramiro Sturla who played in goal today and did an excellent job.
The man-of-the-match award was a close decision between Josh Baggott
and Declan Denison however Josh's hat-trick edged him this week's award.
Well done once more and long may this run continue.
