The season kicked off in bright sunshine. Calverley attacked from the off with some good play from Harris Thompson.

And it was not long before Calverley took the lead with an unstoppable shot from the edge of the penalty area from Harris Thompson.
Calverley were quickly 2:0 up courtesy of an own goal from the Pudsey defence. Calverley were too strong in midfield for Pudsey. With Asher Simkins inparticular impressing.

Calverley kept Pudsey pinned back in their own half and shortly before half time Harris Thompson scored his second of the match with yet another trademark shot from the outside the box.
The rout was complete with a cool finish from Ryan Hammerton slotting past the keeper when one on one and a goal from Lewis Waddington. Man of the match for Calverley Blues was Asher Simkins.

Calverley went into this game as last seasons champions. And questions were being asked could they continue where they left off.
Calverley started off strongly pinning Pudsey back. But despite several chances could not put the ball onto the back of the net.
It seemed that it was going to be one if those days until Owen Bailey put Calverley into the lead with a trademark poachers finish. Just before the break Calverley scored their second goal when the ball broke to Harrison Marcus inside Calverleys own half who struck it Ronaldoesque from 30 yards. The shot was too strong for the Pudsey keeper who, although managed to get a hand to the shot , could only parry it into the net.
The second half was much the same with all the pressure coming from Calverley. And shortly into the second half Owen Bailey scored his second of the game.
Pudsey responded with , what was to be a consolation goal , only for Owen Bailey to complete a hatrick just before the final whistle.
