As with last week Yarnbury found themselves two tries down in the first 10 minutes giving too much respect to the Skipton number eight Patrick Murray who bounced off too high tacklers to score with ease after four minutes.
This was followed on 10 minutes by winger Rob Davy being helped over by his fellow Skipton backs.

Both conversions were missed and this after Yarnbury winger Chris Flowers was brought down in the first minute after good back play put him away down the left. This frenetic start was to remain for the whole of the game with the lead changing hands in an exiting game of rugby.

Yarnbury had veteran back row and No 8 Ian Moule back to add his experience in the hard ball carrying role giving James Barrett a much needed rest on the bench after the bruising Bridlington match.
Simon Threlfall was back on the right wing as was Dave Moss in the second row for the unavailable Ian Maycock and this meant Yarnbury would have to work harder for their line out ball and this worked well in the first half witrh back row Bruce Johnson Laird held up over the line after good lineout work.
Yarnbury were pushing hard for a score and after winning a scrum against the head by captain Al Bowden centre Jason Avieson powered over through the tackle with stand off Ian Bartlett converting from near the posts.Skipton went further ahead on 28 minutes through scrum half Chris Wibberley only for a pop pass to Joe Mills settling in well from Tyndale to back up in good back row style for his first Yarnbury try but again Ian Bartlett did not have his kicking boots on. HT 12 -15.
The first twenty minutes of the second half saw great Yarnbury pressure firstly,Adam Pike grabbing the ball at a penalty and reacting quickly to smash over for a converted try by Bartlett and the latter then took a close in penalty well after sustained forward pressure where all the pack were working so hard to get on top of their dalesman opponents.Skipton thern turned the game on its head with two opportunist tries from right wing Lee Shaw, the first a weaving run off his line beatingg several would be forward tacklers and another from closer in converted by Hamish Munroe.Skipton forwards were then to get back on top trying to hold onto the lead but could not keep the Yarnbury pack away from their line after a good penalty to the corner for substitue back row Ian Bartlett to crash over for the winning try converted by stand off Ian Bartlett.Yarnbury then closed out a breathless game for a narrow win.
