If Calverley were to have any chance of winning the league then this was a match that they had to win.
Calverley started off brightly with some good possession and passing movement but were unable to make any clear cut chances.

Calverley were presented with a half chance when the ball broke on the edge of the box for Louis Squires who hit the ball first time on the volley just over the bar.
Shipley were not to be outdone and pushed Calverley back. Shipley however struggled to get past Harry Davis and Asher Simkins who were commanding at the back. With few chances the first half finished 0:0.
Calverley picked up the second half where they began the first with a bright start. But for some good goalkeeping Calverley would have taken the lead through a Danny Taylor shot.
Calverley were made to quickly regret this miss when Shipley took the lead. Calverley failed to clear the ball and it was scambled home by Oliver Shears.
Calverley responded well but could not beat the Shipley keeper. However Calverley continued to press and in the last minute the ball came out to Louis Squires who shot gerrardesque past the keeper. That was virtually the last shot of the game with Calverley getting a deserved draw.

This was a game for Calverley to forget. Calverley entered this game as slight favourites to win given their good run of form having only lost one match all season.
The match started off badly for Calverley with a mistake from the defence in the first minute which Shipley capitalized on with a shot from Sam Shaw which gave the Alex Weeks no chance.
Calverley came under constant pressure and just could not hold onto the ball up front.
The match looking more like a game of attack v defence. Were it not for a solid performance by Harrison Marcus at the back Calverley could have found themselves more than 1-0 down at half time. As it was Calverley were still in the match.
The second half started pretty much like the first.Calverley found themselves very quickly 2-0 down when from a Calverley corner Shipley hit Calverley on the break with a quick attack and good finish from George Robertson.
Calverley came close with an effort from Owen Bailey that was well saved by the keeper. And that was that.
