Match Report: Dewsbury Rams v Batley Bulldogs
Dewsbury Rams made the most of Batley's cup hangover and produced an outstanding display to bag three vital league points with a 36-16 win in the Championship relegation battle.
Scrum-half Dominic Brambani, pictured left, scored 20 points with two tries and six goals and threw in a towering 40-20 for good measure, and the rest of the Rams showed up well against opponents who started well but lost their way in the second half.

The victory could well ensure Dewsbury's survival in the Championship and the near 2,000 crowd gave this derby all the atmosphere of a cup tie.

After 14 minutes Brambani put Dewsbury ahead with a penalty but Batley quickly hit back when centre Josh Griffin took a flat pass near the Dewsbury line and stretched out to score a try.

His conversion put Dewsbury 8-4 in front but Batley maestro Paul Handforth drove his side forward with a series of probing kicks and centre Mark Toohey crashed over for a try converted by Gareth Moore.
The Rams hit back just before half-time when Brambani broke from a scrum and had the pace to squeeze over in the corner.
Dewsbury went further ahead when rookie full-back James Craven finished off a 50 yard move started by Scott Turner and beat a defender to score a fine try.
After the re-start, prop Luke Stenchion crashed over for a try against his old club. A Brambani conversion to add to a penalty suddenly propelled the Rams into a 22-10 lead.
A wicked bounce then saw last week's hero Alex Brown allow Rams winger Bryn Powell to pounce and score his side's fifth try in the 52nd minute and Brambani's boot carried them clear by 32-10.
Handforth grabbed a converted try for Batley five minutes from time but Dewsbury put the bonus point beyond them when Craven left the defence flat-footed to score his second.
