The side comprised a number of the colts and returning students sprinkled with a couple of more experienced players for what was always going to be a tough fixture against a well organised side.

Early in the first half Brod's struck with their first try against the run of play.

Yarnbury soon hit back with two fine tries for winger Lewis Saville with standoff Nick Antonelli adding the conversion to give the away side the lead.
Brod's however finished the first half the stronger and went into the second half with the lead.
Yarnbury responded with the first try of the second half as winger John Salter scored. Brod's however were not to beaten and responded with a couple of tries of their own to extend the lead.
A try from centre Tom Harper rallied the away side as they pushed to further close the points gap but time was not on Yarnburys side.
Despite the defeat Yarnburys youngster demonstrated great resilience and spirit throughout the entire game which should stand them in goodstead for the rest of season.
